Madison County, Alabama Migrates to Geo-Database

Building upon a successful business relationship already established with Madison County, Alabama, SDS has been hired to design and implement the County's geodatabase migration. Included among the many services SDS will be providing are an on-site "Needs Analysis" workshop, a full "Needs Analysis" report, a detailed GIS "Implementation Plan," and migration of the current assessor's GIS data layers into the ESRI geodatabase format.

Susan Marlow said, "We are very excited about the project. SDS is very familiar with Madison County's data and is prepared to migrate the current assessor's GIS data layers into the ESRI geodatabase format. These data layers will include the countywide parcel fabric, the orthophoto base imagery, the planimetric layers, and the political boundary layers."

"SDS has been supporting the Madison County assessor's office with GIS services for over ten years," states Fran Hamilton, Madison County Tax Assessor. "We are pleased to extend this relationship to include geodatabase migration. We have been impressed with their understanding of the assessment process and have used the SDS Analyst software for many years. We believe we will have a world class GIS when this project is complete and are very happy that we partnered with SDS for the project."
